Berlusconi: We are all whores, aren't we?

Tuesday, 25 June 2013. In the wake of the Rubygate sentence against Silvio Berlusconi , journalist and PdL politician Giuliano Ferrara together with other 400 odd people express they opinion that, all in all, we are all whores, women and men.

The day before a court in Milan found Silvio Berlusconi guilty of having paid an under-age prostitute for sex services and having abused of his power as prime minister, and Giuliano Ferrara did not like it.
So the bulky journalist-politician put on some lipstick (see video on our YouTube Channel), took a few credible partners - most of them women and girls - and off he went protesting, to Rome's Piazza Farnese.

“We are all whores” ("Siamo tutti puttane" in Italian) was the slogan of the demonstration. Subtitle: “No alla giustizia puritana” (in English: “No to puritan justice”).

The people that endorsed the “We are all whores” claim? Silvio Berlusconi's girlfriend Francesca Pascale, PdL (People of Freedom) party member Daniela Santanchè and ubiquitous (personal assistant to the Knight, songwriter, general maid and factotum) Mariarosa Rossi.

Only Karima El Mahroug – aka Ruby Rubacuori (the Heartstealer) was missing (she has been accused to be the under-age prostitute who received the money from the prime minister), but she already staged a solo protest, in Milan. It is unclear whether all the 400 people that attended the meeting are all whores, or the whole Italian population is made of courtesans, but it is also unclear how would that excuse Berlusconi...

What is the point of Ferrara? On his newspaper “Il foglio” (in Italian "The Sheet") he cites the Dominique Strauss-Kahn trial, where the charges were dropped, in the end.

Blurry.

P.S.: Oddly enough, a few months ago, Daniela Santanchè participated to another demonstration, with the title “We are not dolls”. “I am not a doll, we are all whores” could be quite a catchy song title, isn't it?
