Mon, 18 March, 2013 (Saint Cyril of Jerusalem). Customs officers of the port of Venice find a container full of toilet paper portraying the former prime minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi.
Toilet rolls that smile at you |
As the newspaper acknowledged “heavy loads of goods with a low market value” might hide cigarettes of other smuggled goods, but this wasn't the case.
Neither there was any forgery of symbols covered by copyright, as far as the prosecutors and the officers knew (the only way to stop the cargo would have been a complaint by the subject of the portrait – Silvio Berlusconi – who did not contacted the prosecutors (actually he usually tries to avoid magistrates). Possibly he never got to know about the discovery.

Anyhow, since no irregularities where discovered, the toilet paper shipment was allowed to continue its way to retailers. End of the story. Lame? Yeah, possibly not our best post so far... but we couldn't just miss out another funny story about Silvio Berlusconi.
