Silvio Berlusconi DID NOT sing any song

Thursday, 24 March 2011. Silvio Berlusconi DID NOT sing any song. Signed: The Italian Government's Cabinet.

The Cabinet of the Italian Government issues a clarifying note – through it's official site www.governo.it – that should stop for good the terrible and slanderous rumours the communist press has been spreading around in the previous days.

The rumours follow the dinner Mr Berlusconi organised at Palazzo Grazioli, his residence in Rome, with a group of members of the Italian Parliament, called the Responsible Ones (Movement of National Responsibility). The group - founded by Domenico Scilipoti - is called "The Responsible Ones" because the members switched sides (they were affiliated to Antonio Di Pietro's Italy of Values), in order to keep Silvio Berlusconi's coalition alive.
And that's a responsible thing to do. Amongst the Responsible Ones there was Francesco Saverio Romano, the new Agriculture Minister, who – by the way – is under investigation for alleged Mafia association and corruption.

The translation of the note is: “The reports published by some of the press agencies and regarding the dinner of yesterday evening (i.e.: March 23, 2011) attended by President Berlusconi and the Group of the Responsible [representatives] is full of fantasies and inaccuracies. In particular the President did not sing any song”.

The funniest part of it is that the above mentioned reports accused Berlusconi of a series of serious misdeeds, like bribing politicians, appointing mafiosi as ministers, paying under-age girls (like Ruby) for sex and mistreating women but looks like the prime minister was really annoyed only by one of the charges. Singing songs. Good old funny Berlusconi.
