Berlusconi says that his children feel like Jews with Hitler and asked him to leave the country

Wednesday, 6 Novembre 2013. In a new book published by famous Italian journalist Bruno Vespa, Berlusconi reveals that his children said they feel like a Jew family during Hitler's times.

In the run-up to the Italian Senate vote about the ousting of Silvio Berlusconi (as he was found guilty of tax fraud and convicted by all levels of Italian judiciary), the former prime minister is struggling to stay politically alive, and the publishing of his friend's book is a good chance to state his case and fight his war against his enemies.

“My children say they feel as Jewish families might have felt in Germany during Hitler's regime. Everybody is against as.” answered to Bruno Vespa's question about whether it is true that the children have asked him to sell out and leave Italy.


It's not the first time Mr Berlusconi cites protagonists of the events the led to the Second World War, even though Benito Mussolini has so far been his favourite (in the past the billionaire-politician said that – apart the racial laws – the dictator did quite well).

“I am 100% Italian, my roots are here, in Italy I've become what I am” said also Berlusconi, stating that he will not flee his country, as some might have suggested (actually he received tons of advices, from friends and foes, as his future became hazier and hazier).

In the meanwhile Mr Berlusconi has married his girlfriend Francesca Pascale (according to bunga-bunga participant Marysthell Polanco) in his besieged home in Arcore, another event that might have somehow reminded of the Führer's days, perhaps... 

In three weeks – on 27 November 2013 – a vote will be held in the Senate, on whether expulsion of the media tycoon from the Italian parliament. Beppe Grillo's party M5S (Five Star Movement) managed to win its battle and avoid secret balloting on the matter: there will be an open vote, and that is going to somehow limit the manoeuvring of Berlusconi, who might start to seriously worry about the outcome, as internal fighting lingers on amongst his allies, in the run-up to dismissal of PdL (People of Liberty) party and rise of the newly formed Forza Italia.
