Berlusconi is just like JFK, according to an Italian newspaper

Friday, 22 November 2013. 50 years after the death of JFK, the Italian newspaper “Il Giornale” explains how Silvio Berlusconi is “just like John Fitzerald Kennedy”.

JFK and Silvio Berlusconi: two of a kind?

The rightist “Il Giornale” ("The Newspaper") is a newspaper owned by the Berlusconi family, no surprise if they staunchly defend the positions of the former prime minister of Italy and news sound like pleas.

But this time in a front page editorial (headlined “A Kennedy in Arcore”) they dare to compare Silvio Berlusconi to none other than JFK – whose died exactly 50 years before, shot dead in Dallas, Texas – on the following grounds: we are talking about two wealthy, very wealthy, politicians, both used their wealth to push themselves through politics and both managed to beat their high-flier opponents. And both men had a dream that couldn't become true: in the case of JFK because he got assassinated, in the case of Mr Berlusconi, because “we are in Italy!” (according to the article).


“Il Giornale” might have missed a point: John Fitzerald Kennedy was a 6-ft-tall handsome man, who died at 46, Berlusconi – 5' 5”, in the best scenario - has become a decaying 77-year old sod, who (apparently) recently married Francesca Pascale, a (allegedly) lesbian, 50 years younger than him. C'mon: Silvio Berlusconi would be the first to state that pulchritude is a factor! 

Anyhow, what seems to really piss off the guys at the Berlusconian paper is that the hatred leftists – whose side is, by the way, packed with “whores and pimps” - adore JFK and find womanising a very chic habit, if pursued by their icons.

The right of Berlusconi to sleaziness had be defended before by journalist Giuliano Ferrara, who launched the campaign “We are all whores”, back in June 2013, after the conviction of the the über-rich politician.

It's not the first colourful comparison between Berlusconi's family and figures of the past, the billionaire himself had previously this month suggested that their family - in particular his children - felt like a “Jew family during Hitler's regime”.

Quite peculiarly the raunchy details of the evidence gathered to convict SB for “child prostitution” and “abuse of office” - you know, the sex scandal, Arcore's bunga bunga parties, the women and all that stuff - were disclosed just one day before the Kennedy's sad anniversary.
